5 in 7/4

hello!
This week flew by!  Here are some pictures.

This is a night light.  I think it is for Christmas, but I leave it out all the time.  I also like the white/white combination.
This weekend has been super nice outside, so we spent time around/on/under the swing set.  The boys took apart the swings and now we just have chains.  *SIGH*
Is Spring here yet?  We bought seeds yesterday!
Union Station Ceiling.

Painting at Union Station   I think we can just walk right in!
The boys set up a colored water stand with flexible pay options ($20, $30, or $100).  They just put food coloring in water.  GENIOUS!

Free Flowers from Hubby's work thing!

5 in 7/3

So, I have had another busy week!  First off, my kid, I, turned 7.  What the heck.  I have been a mom for 7 years. Ian changed my world and brought so much joy and love.  He is an amazing amazing amazing kid and I am crazy about him.  I am a blessed lady to have the best two sons in the universe. (don't want to sell them short if there actually is life out there)
Wanna know what else I have been up to?  Scuba Diving.  My friend Lauren, who actually reads my blog (Hi Lauren), asked me to take a scuba class with her and I said "yes".  I've been wanting to conquer my fear of the underwater world for a really long time, so I jumped at the opportunity to hang out with my friend while breathing underwater!!

It was a huge committment, but totally worth it.  I got my books on Wednesday evening and studied all day (when I wasn't watching the kiddos) Thursday and Friday.  Saturday and Sunday we scuda dove.  It was amazing.  I love the feeling of breathing underwater and the idea of seeing so much more of this beautiful planet!  Everyone should do it!  I still need to do two open water dives and then I am officially certified!
Enough about that. Here are my weekly pictures:

plants in kids room
 Doughnuts for the Birthday Boy
 Scuba in the shower

  Playing with wallpaper
Lego head birthday cake...weird, I know

Hello!  Here is my first week of pictures!  I love this project.  It makes me happy to think outside of taking pictures of my kiddos even though they are the cutest!!

Full moon and stars with my favorite tree.
This is a garland I made for my front porch.
This is my brother behind a candle.  It was a little more than a week ago...No Rules, remember!
I took my Christmas tree down and found silly putty...of course.
I really wish a bird family would come live here.  My backyard.  Do you see the sledders?
Just a pop of color.

Next time I will pay attention to my settings and let you know what they are.  I have been shooting manual to remember how to shoot without my auto settings.

Five in Seven Project

I am not good at sticking with things.  Ideas are always popping into my mind, and I don't take the time to formulate an action plan.  This needs to change if I am ever going to have a creative outlet, so I have an action plan.  I am going to take five pictures a week to be posted once a week in 2014. I want to take them on different days, but we will see how that goes.  I am going to have very loose rules for myself, because I can!!
Photography has been a fun hobby for me for a few years.  I like being able to see and save images from my own eyes though a medium...Amazing stuff.  Recently my sweet husband got me a new camera.  It is a Nikon 7000.  I love it.  I want to learn how to use my camera (who needs a name) with some sort of goal.  So, I am going to start shooting tomorrow, January 1, 2014.  I will post my pics on Sunday.  Yeah!!
